In 1986 a new vineyard and winery project was born: Castillo de Monjardin. It was when the restructuring of the family vineyard started, with the amplification and adjustment of some existing buildings to build the winery. Nowadays, Castillo de Monjardin has 220 vineyard hectares in property, located in four areas with very different climates. Monjardin, at 600 metres of altitude and in a cold area, has 60 hectares of Chardonnay and 5 of Pinot Noir. On the road to Logroño, Olite and Villafranca, in a more moderate climate, there are other three areas where the red grapes Tempranillo, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are grown. Castillo de Monjardin has obtained 90 Parker points.
