La Rioja Fantastico is an exclusive event held for many years in collaboration with Chef Pol, at the renowned “La Maison” now called “La Maruja”. The restaurant is located at the centre of Shanghai and aims to celebrate the marriage of tapas and Rioja wine, with a focus on the perfect pairing of Spanish tapas with this iconic wine style. Rioja Fantastico features the collaborative efforts of 6 international chefs from a variety of popular restaurants in Shanghai, who carefully prepare each tapa to marry perfectly with Rioja wines from selected distributors in the Chinese market. Juerui Industry, who has a presence in the Chinese market for over 10 years, is one of those distributors especially selected to supply their superb Rioja wines from Bodegas Roda and Ramirez de la Piscina for this event. Juerui Industry worked hand by hand with Koen Vessies, executive chef at El Willy Group, to prepare the best pairing of the event: Roasted cochinillo paired with Rioja wine could not be beat!
