Esencia del Carche is a family tradition winery since 19th Century. The wines mean an explosion of contrasts that shape the deep essence of our region. The land, Jumilla, is located in south-eastern Spain, in the north of the Region of Murcia. The great moisture retention capacity and medium permeability of its brown limy soils allow vines to survive prolonged drought conditions, which gives the grapes their unique taste. The continental climate, tempered by the proximity to the Mediterranean Sea, is characterized by sunny days and arid weather conditions that provide our winegrapes with over 3,000 hours of sunshine per year. Esencia del Carche team is fully engaged in the world of œnology. It is mostly composed by people who have grown up surrounded by vineyards. Their parents and grandparents were also œnologists and vine growers with a passion for winemaking, history and tradition, who strived not only to open and consolidate new markets but also to pass down their passion for wine, the noblest drink of all “Vine growing is a battle between matter (the soil), the elements (sun, water, air, heat, wind, cold), biology (vines and wines) and the hand of man with an exhilarating outcome”
