Spanish Extra Virgin Olive Oil Tasting at Xibarita

Juerui Industry’s goal is to introduce Spanish gourmet food and fine wine culture in China. And for this time, Xibarita @ Juerui Industry first held an extra virgin olive oil tasting, to show olive oil culture in Spain to our Chinese guests.

This tasting showed the character and different purpose of use of extra virgin olive oil, compared with the other normal olive oils. Using the tasting method as wine, we understood well about the Spanish extra virgin olive oil through its smell and taste. Through the event, our guest learned that the extra virgin olive oil also known as olive juice.

For this event, we selected three best extra virgin olive oils: Dauro Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Aubocassa Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Full Moon Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Each of them is excellent on quality, but the styles of aroma and flavor are different. Some of them smell like grass, but some is green tomato or banana. On the palate, they are different from each other also, but share the characters of the texture, which is smooth and silky. It’s really amazing when match them with Spanish seafood or vegetable tapas. In the end of event, the manager of Xibarita presented 5.5 Yllera as a special gift for all of us. It’s a low alcohol sweet white wine. All the ladies were impressed by the wine. It can be drink as an after-dinner wine, which has rounded this beautiful night.
