Rioja Fantastico event has become a tradition in the city, it has already been taking place for several consecutive years and many people in Shanghai have included it in their agenda and look forward to it every season.
On April 24th, the event took place in the amazing terrace Tomatito has in Xintiandi. 15 different wine importers were there, with a wide range of Rioja Wines and some chefs also attended to bring some food to pair with the wine.
Juerui Industry was there representing two Rioja wineries: Ramirez de la Piscina, a small family owned winery from Rioja Alta, particularly from San Vicente de la Sonsierra with the last vintage of their famous Crianza wine and Bodegas Roda, a winery from a very popular Rioja town called Haro. From Bodegas Roda we selected Sela an intense and fruity wine with a mix of three grapes tempranillo, graciano and garnacha and Roda Reserva an Intense and expressive wine showing a good integration among the red fruit profile and the oak. This way, Juerui Industry offered a complete tour around the different Rioja areas and grape varieties.
We were lucky that the great Sommelier and Wine Master Mr. Yang Lu stopped at our booth and tasted the wine Roda Reserva from Bodegas Roda.
Flamenco, terrace, Rioja wine and delicious food, the perfect combination for a Saturday afternoon! We had the chance to see old faces and meet new people, and bring Rioja wine closer to all the Shanghai people! Without any doubt, a day to remember!
