In recent years, a number of studies have endorsed the beneficial effects of polyphenols intake on health, especially on the cardiovascular system. Polyphenols have great antioxidant properties. These compounds present vasodilating effects, and they can improve the lipid profile and lessen the oxidation of low-density lipoproteins (LDL). This provides the olive oil with proven medical value.

Acanto Botanikal is a 100% green fruity picual olive oil of high intensity with herbaceous notes giving in the mouth a pleasant and intense sensation that provides in a balanced way the bitter and spicy attributes of the picual olive.

The Picual olive is the base of Acanto due to its therapeutical properties, its unmistakable flavor and its inherence to Andalusian tradition.

The harvest is a key part in the production of olive oil. The olives are grown next to the natural park of Sierra Mágina in the southern part of Jaen. The harvest of the olives used in Acanto olive oil is carried out using only green olives from the tree (avoiding the ones that already felt from the tree) and delivered to the oil mills just after the harvest.
